About
Jean Marie is married at age 23 to a 15-year-old Marie Amable. They have their first child four years later when she is 19. They each have a child named after them, and the youngest is named for Jean Marie’s father. Their second child, Marie Josephe, only lives for just shy of five months. It is unknown if the others survived for long, but we know that the first son, Jean Marie, goes on to continue the Hogue line.

- M. Amable Brodeur — Marie Amable is 15 when she marries Jean Marie – he is 23. Her “dit” name is sometimes shown as “Lavigne” in some source documents. (Generation 11.32) Marcel shows it for reference and research purposes only.
- Son Jean Marie Hogue — Date of birth for (Gen #6.1) Jean Marie is given as 25 September, 1740 in some source material, but this is the same date for his father (Gen#5.4) as shown above and obviously incorrect. This confusion is likely due to the fact that they have the same name. (The first-born boy was often named after the father.) A “PRDH” file #434133 shows (Gen #6.1) Jean Marie born 20 October, 1767.
